in order to practice seeing values i painted over a photo i took while painting with the plein air group at Kymulga covered bridge. Using 4 purple tints it looks like this.
it helps in seeing the correct values in my plein air painting.
but I noticed the bridge 'window' was too large and i also prefer the higher up shadow on the covered bridge and i see some other values needing change
so...I will fix and post a revised painting later.
